​Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Ortus Underwriting, Matthew is responsible for the overall running and management of the operations of the insurance business. With a stellar career in the industry, Matthew left university and began working in insurance as a motor claims handler for Cleanaway, before moving into underwriting Accident and Health business as an Assistant Underwriter with Sagicor Underwriting. He began working for AmTrust Underwriting as an Underwriter in 2014, progressing to Development Underwriter and then on to Underwriting Manager, finally becoming Director of Underwriting in 2020.

In his spare time Matthew loves spending time in the countryside with his family. He’s also a keen sports fan, following football (Spurs fan), rugby and cricket. Enjoys playing golf, skiing and still just about manages to play 5-a-side football.
